New seven channels process TRAINING group™
starts in-person in Charlottesville, VA - September 26th, 2025
deepening embodied relational SKILLS
This Seven Channels Process Training Group™ series focuses on giving and receiving the transformative gifts of the kind of secure base that we aspire to create as therapists. Our focus will be integrating and deepening the self of the therapist. We will work to offer alternative pathways to the counter-transference reactivity that can show up in us with certain psychotherapy clients and especially in working with couples.
We will practice whole-body moment-to-moment somatic tracking and speak in explicit I-statements about our internal experience. This produces an atmosphere of subtle discernment and evokes surprises of emergent selective perception, bottom-up awareness, selective reception as well as mindful expression. This small group series accesses and builds upon self-at-best skill development of heart-to-heart compassion, inner reflection and balanced acknowledgment of self and other. We will be learning first hand about affective neuroscience and transforming attachment patterns via teaching moments integrated with the experience of the group sessions.
Schedule a 20-minute conversation on Zoom with Dr. David Mars about a monthly in-person Friday group series starting on September 26th, 2025.
SESSION CALENDAr
Eight monthly Friday sessions from 11am-1pm EST starting on September 26th, 2025
Six participant maximum
$150 per two-hour session paid monthly If paid at once $1150 or by monthly subscription $1200
This is a hybrid Seven Channels Process Training Group™ that will alternate from us being all in person for five Fridays in C’ville and then for the three in-between dates listed below we will be on Zoom.
We will witness during the online sessions which Channels of Experience are less or more available to the group members on Zoom and which are more vibrant and clear and responsive in person. One example is that in the visual channel on Zoom, I may gain more access to registering the subtlety of micro-expressions, due to the close proximity of the camera to the other person on screen.
This alternation of in-person and on Zoom can help us cultivate more capacity to open more selective perception, selective reception and selective expression in all Seven Channels of Experience.
